Medicine is Changing.
My mission is to facilitate that change by healing, empowering and inspiring people through expert guidance and diagnostics across medical paradigms.
I believe that our health challenges must be met with a multidimensional, discerning, and holistic approach.
Solutions can be found where they have always been found -- by living in accordance with nature and one's own truth and authentic self.
Nonetheless, advancing science continues to give us new tools, insights and methods to heal. I love the ability to draw from all medical traditions to find what works for each individual since
many people will thrive with a synergy of natural methods, modern science and empowered strategies.
One person's key to health is not necessarily anyone else's'. Excellent results are, by necessity, driven by individualized treatment plans that must take into account the unique story, genetics, identity and circumstances of each person.
But the aspect of my practice that sets me part is not my combination of diet, herbs, western medical science, functional medicine, and natural cures. It is the focus I put on helping people discover the medicine within them.
I grew up with people telling me I should be a doctor.

I refused that idea early and often because it seemed like we already had enough doctors and yet still there were too many things that needed fixing.
But I was obsessed with trying to understand what made people healthy and what caused them to become sick and to suffer. I went to the library and got books on diet, exercise, health, herbs, medicine, psychology and spiritual studies. I noticed that there were two kinds of suffering: the kind everyone can see on the surface and also the hidden and secret kinds.
It seemed that we needed less doctors and more awareness of how to prevent suffering in the first place. Of course, my passion for understanding nature and people lead me to a B.S. in Biology, and eventually naturopathic medicine, Chinese medicine, western medicine, yoga, meditation, bodywork and bio-hacking.
Turns out I did become a doctor after-all.
It is an honor to help someone heal and be liberated from limitations and pain.
I had learned that while we had doctors, we did not have enough of them who understood and applied deeper natural principles. Even though I loved science from the beginning (my favorite childhood Christmas present was a chemistry set) we often forget that our modern version of science is just one tradition in a long history of studying nature and health.
Women and men have been observing and studying themselves and nature for centuries in other traditions. There is much to learn from those deep wells of study and there is no reason why technology, science, and ancient wisdoms cannot join forces to guide us.
We need both: the outer teachers and healers as well as the inner.
After 30 years of doctoring and teaching I understand that the journey of health and optimization generally requires a collaboration of forces.
Healing is a partnership of inner and outer efforts, nature, science, and spirit.

Although some solutions are simple and straightforward, too often our complaints need a holistic approach. Healing has become a process that needs to address many contributing issues:
